What are the time slots for Openreach engineer appointments?
I had an appointment booked for a 1pm-6pm slot last Friday and so specifically took the day off work for this. At 4pm, the engineer arrived. She then explained to me that it was the end of her shift despite the fact that the slot is between 1pm and 6pm, so that should have given her another 2 hours and so she wouldn't be able to carry out the work despite the fact she was there at the doorstep because there wasn't enough time.
She then made a call and told me she'd arranged for an engineer to come on Saturday morning between 8am-1pm. Fine, that works for me. Bit annoyed that I've lost a whole holiday day but them's the breaks. That's right, no engineer shows up on Saturday.
I call BT and they tell me an appointment has been booked for the afternoon of the 21st of March. So I complain. I've already lost one holiday day waiting for a lazy engineer who can't be bothered to do a full day's work and I can't afford to take another one off.
I demand a Saturday appointment - this is Openreach's screw-up, not mine, so they have to work around me, not the other way round. This means something needs to be done despite the fact the computer says 'no'. Has anyone else been treated like this by Openreach? At the moment it looks like I'm going to have to cancel my BT subscription because BT can't physically provide it. I had problems a while back and managed to speak directly to a moderator via email. This was a FAR better way of getting problems sorted as opposed to dealing with the abysmal customer support. Who's decision was it to scrap this?! Waited in all afternoon for the Engineer. He obviously didn't talk to the engineering team. How do i know this? Incredulous lack of customer care. I now have an internal investigation in hand. No doubt someone in the complaints department will give it a stiff ignoring over their morning coffee and donuts and book me in for another appointment during a working day, rather than a Saturday and just assume i'll continue to bend over and take one for the Gipper!
I doubt if BT will compensate for the pounds i lost on a half days leave, soon to be yet another half day. Sign In Forum Help. Turn on suggestions. Sarah Beginner. Message 1 of BT Engineer No Show. I'd like to open a ticket please. Today I was scheduled to have a bt engineer over to install infinity between 8am and 1pm.
After a long call on my mobile As my old phone provider has switched over my service I was told I was my engineer's next appointment, ane would be called shortly to confirm time of arrival. At 5pm it was obvious that the engineer was not going to arrive I checked 'track my order' - not sure how an appointment constitutes an order as I have had my hardware delivered - to see my appointment is now on Monday 7th October.
